Marriage Equality - Soon in Malta!

This afternoon during a conference of the European Parents of LGBTQI people organised by DRACHMA, Minister Helena Dalli has announced that Marriage will soon be open to same sex couples.

The statement came as one of the participants claimed that along with his partner he had to travel to Spain to get Married, as he couldn't get married in his country, Turkey.

Last year both Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader agreed on opening marriage to same sex couples.

In Malta currently there are civil unions at par with marriage.
