It’s a good idea to read this before you take that step, because it’s important to be prepared for the questions they’re likely to ask, and the range of possible responses they may have.

For Parents of Gay Children – It’s a good idea to have materials available for your parents to read when you come out to them. It’s typical that they’ll be surprised, and whatever they’re reaction, it’s likely that they have a lack of information (and possibly even have misinformation) about what it means for their son or daughter to be gay, lesbian or bisexual. This brochure was written for parents (although it’s good reading for you, too) and can help them on their own journeys of acceptance.
